Coupon is located in the northeastern part of Gallitzin Township near the eastern border of Cambria County at the crest of the Allegheny Front, the eastern edge of the Allegheny Plateau. It is located at 40°32?12?N 78°33?54?W (40.5367356, -78.5150162), about 87 miles (140 km) east of Pittsburgh and 9 miles (14 km) west of Altoona.
